This listing is for a Pearl Chad Smith 14x5” Black Nickel plated Signature steel snare drum that’s in very good condition, and works flawlessly. It’s only flaw is that it displays speckled spots on the drum where the black nickel plating has mottled.
Pearl spared little expense in designing this drum which features a seamless black nickel plated steel shell, stainless steel tension rods inside brass fittings (keeping the connection between the two from ever seizing up, or rusting inside the lug), Pearl’s legendary lightning throw-off, CL250 bridge lugs, and their famous 2.3mm “Superhoops”. All of these features combine to create one amazing snare drum with powerful tone with loads of range and expression.
