Every once in a while, we get something that’s pretty special and this is one of those times. This listing is for a Keller Shelled Ludwig 4pc - Modern Day Spin-off of “New Yorker” Kit with brass tension rods and brass accents.
The original 1962 Ludwig New Yorker did not include a floor tom, and only one rack tom for quick ease of setting up, tearing down, and throwing into the back of a cab to move on to the next club. One of those distinguishing qualities to this kit was its 12” deep bass drum. And that’s where we come in…
This 4 Pc drum kit sounds absolutely fantastic, but does have just a few imperfections that we’ve attempted to highlight in the pictures (see slight scratches pics of the 10” drum around badge). The kit includes six ply thin maple Keller shells that are reminiscent of Ludwig’s Super Classic maple kits of the 90’s. It’s lacquered finish is what Pearl Drums refers to as Galaxy Black Sparkle.
The lugs and all the drum hardware are all modern and classic hardware. However the badges are reproductions (from Bum Wrap), and they’re remarkably accurate with the exception of their placement. The builder (Page Drums, San Diego) was terribly inaccurate however, in their placement of those badges on the 10”, and 12” drum shells. They’re just off slightly from center.
Drum sizes are 10x8”, 12x8”, 14x14”FT, and 22x12” bass drum. This kit includes brass tension rods and accents throughout the kit giving it a sexy look. The four piece kit also includes the Ludwig rack tom stand, Ludwig floor tom legs, cowbell “L” rod, and the Ludwig bass drum ride cymbal extension stand/rod.
